rn im make hardest difficulty and its a chart which is mostly rice with some LN for vocals and i want it ranked because ngl it feels much nicer and interestting to play than most ranked beatmaps out there but i still wanna make it better

if anyone wants to publish it as WIP then lmk and ill do it probably by tommorow

i'm not really an experienced mapper, but i'd be happy to try to mod it if you uploaded it. however, realistically, your first few maps probably aren't going to be rank-worthy, as it usually takes a bit for newer mappers to learn what works and what doesn't.

ok ill upload it when i get on my pc, ill edit this message when i do and ill chuck the link here

oh alsp i think i wanna mentioned i was being stupid when i said it was "mostly rice with some LN" what i really meant was "everything isnt LN except the vocals are LN for the most part"

edit: no more link because i abandon

edit 2: also its only iirc 57% done so its not actually 3.6 star, id personally put 3.9 - 4.1 star

edit 3: man i give up charting this, its WAY TOO UNCOMFORTABLE if i try make it actually accurate to the song by making some notes 7th beat

On one end, yes I do feel to some degree that people should map up to the level they can play. On the other end, I feel it is way too limiting to map only what you will ever be good at and is in fact a terrible idea.
Now of course, there are some maps with straight up stupid patterns (I would know because I mapped one), but I feel as long as it looks like something that can be balanced it's fine. Point being discomfort shouldn't be a huge factor when mapping something, just keep it consistent and make sure there's no 7-note-long jacks unless you're mapping a vibro-chordjack.
On that note of mapping with consistency, you don't need to map accurately. Now of course, there's 2 ways to interpret that. 1) Make a dump map. 2 and the way I mean) Simplify complex parts into less notes. It's very effective.

I will say from what I did play of your map, it's not very uncomfortable. Graces are a pattern to be practiced, so that may be on your end.
