to see the version of osu! go to the bottom of options

Adding to this: after completing a beatmap and alt-tabbing out on the score screen turns the 'retry' and 'replay' buttons and the dark grey background of personal rank (whatever that is called, where you scroll down to see your stats) invisible. I believe that's a related issue.
