Problem details:
osu! After downloading the installation file, I tried to install it, but the installation failed with the message “osu! crashed”.

I'm using Windows 10 and there are no problems at all.

Do you have any pending OS updates, make sure to manually check these in the settings. If so, please update and restart the computer.

other things to try
- Restart your computer, make an exception for osu! in any antivirus software you may be using/completely disable it (at your own risk).

- Something to check would be graphics drivers. Try updating/reinstalling them. Also make sure you have the latest .NET framework installed.

- Instead of replacing the osu!.exe inside your osu! folder with the old installer, replace it with the current installer: home/download. Before running that, delete the "osu!.cfg" file in your folder (the one without your PC name in it) and make sure the file is named osu!.exe.

What is your operating system? And are you 100% certain you have all Windows updates installed?

Windows 10 PRO. Yes, i have done every single thing dating back to atleast 2016 on the forums. Updating all drivers, windows updates, switched the osu! file with the osu!installer and changed the name to osu!, ran through all the compatibility options, went through everysingle version of .net framework that is officially out rn, reinstalled the game and tried updating it from the fallback version, made exceptions on antivirus and after that i deleted all my antiviruses. I cannot think of anything else except reinstalling my Windows which i am not going to do for the sake of clicking circles :( Never have i encountered such a bug in any game.

Please create your own thread. Issues can seem the same from the outside, we need to handle yours in a different space so that things don't get confused. Don't delete the osu! version when you create a thread here: community/forums/topics/create?forum_id=5 and please explain your issue in full detail there.
