Ever since installing Lazer a month ago, I've avoided playing it due to this issue, with the new changes being rolled out (Specifically the pp increase for slider acc) I have decided to make the switch.

The reason I've avoided it is that the cursor stops moving or rather, "lags" every 4-5 minutes or so.

Again, this is only on Lazer.

I have High-Precision Mouse disabled.
Tablet is: Wacom CTL-4100
Drivers are: OpenTabletDriver with no plugins

Please try a few things:

  1. Turning "high precision mouse" off
  2. Turning the in-game tablet handler off
  3. Changing threading mode to single thread
and see if anything helps.

Everything excluding the single thread option was already off
I've changed it to single thread and now instead of just my cursor lagging it's the whole game

Hmm. Unfortunate.

It's pretty clear what the cause is, just not sure what the solution is. tl;dr: something on your computer seems to be taking over system-wide input reading that it's blocking the input thread for long periods of time.

Do you have any background apps open that you suspect might be doing that? Try closing background apps one by one and seeing if any single one makes the issue go away. Alternatively, do you have a mouse with a polling rate over 1000Hz set?

Is there any tool that shows me what program that might be?
Only tools that come to mind are:
1. OMEN Gaming Hub (Which shouldn't do that)
2. Razer Synapse (Which could do that)
3. HyperX NGENUITY (Which could do that)

While scrolling through the task manager I've also seen:
1. ETD Control Center (or better known as Trackpad Device Control Center)

Other than that I don't know...

I have a Razer DeathAdder V2 X HYPERSPEED, which does have 1000hz polling but is always on bluetooth when I have the tablet connected which should reduce the polling rate if I am not wrong, why though?

Also, why would this only happen on lazer? Odd

I don’t know of any program that could show this sort of information, but the ones you mention are worth trying.

As for why it only affects lazer - I couldn’t say, because I’ve never seen the issue first hand, I’ve only seen it reported by other people, so all I have available is guesses. My guess would be that just not many games read input from a separate thread at 1000Hz like lazer does.

Would turning the mouse off do anything?

Worth a try too. Any clues are helpful, if we can get any.

After testing and attempting many different methods to resolve this issue it is clear that the main culprit of this is the mouse itself, when off, I don't freeze.

The fact that it is 1000hz shouldn't be a problem since I've reduced it to 500hz and to 125hz, but sadly, in all three instances (1000hz, 500hz, 125hz) it still causes the issue.

This honestly could be a result of a few things, which as someone who isn't a developer, I have no idea how to even start fixing or testing.

As a note this happens with the 2.4Ghz connection as well as the bluetooth connection.

The mouse: DEATHADDER V2 X HYPERSPEED (Razer)
The driver version: 10.0.15063.0
The software (Razer Synapse) version: 3.9.1130.102506

Yeah not surprised by this conclusion. Whatever the "gamer" razer software is doing is probably hogging input handling paths and causing these stutters.

It's probably something we'll have to somehow work around ourselves. Probably by not having input handling and windowing on one thread. It's something that has been talked about but hasn't come to pass yet.
