[osu!stable] Osu only running at 60FPS / 60HZ

Problem details:
Im running osu in school on my laptop and if i set in on unlimited it only display 60FPS in-game but not in the song choice menu. At my PC at home i got 144hz and i can run Osu on unlimited with much more FPS.

Someone got any advice?




osu! version: Stable 20241001 (latest)

is your laptop even 144hz?? when you play a map you have vertical sync turned on automatically... (i guess)

No my laptop is not 144hz but i put it in unlimited why is it not giving me more than 60FPS/(60hz)?

osu! caps the framerate to 60 during menus. It should increase during gameplay to a 'real' framerate.

wdym by "real" bc it still caps at 60.

if your laptop is 60hz the game will be 60hz

that's what you see in the fps counter

if you set your game to unlimited it won't show your fps
only your refresh rate

setting it to "optimal or "limited" will show your actual fps value

which doesn't matter becuz you're on a 60hz screen

unless you're getting less than 60 which i hope you're not
