I'm going to just leave the chat history of what I said while training 1 of the 28 people I've trained in the past month as to when the post was made. Hope you low ranked mania players or new players to mania from either Friday Night Funkin or Funky Friday, or any other players from either Standard, ctb, or taiko, find it helpful!
Alr, ready for training?
Ok so first, lets talk about ur scroll speed.
whats ur scroll speed
go to settings, and click on the icon that looks like a game controller
then click the option that says "Change keyborad bindings"
find the heading that says "osu!mania"
there should be 2 options, "increase speed" and "decrease speed"
click "increase speed" and then type =
then click "decrease speed" and type - which is the key on ur keyboard to the right of the = key
now go to the main menu, and press = tell me what the number is that shows up on ur screen, ur scroll speed is the number that is 1 less than that
i currently use between 20 and 22, but lmk what u think of 18, if its too fast, keep decreasing it by 1 until u feel comfortable
now, lets take a look at your keybinds, what keybinds do u use?
try using QW,. or WE./
to improve your movement with ur fingers so u dont note-lock, practice the movements ,.WQ or ./EW
now, your note skin is next, go download any of these skins

once the file is downloaded, find the file in ur computer, and drag it over osu
to change ur skin, select the option the looks like a paintbrush in the settings/options tab, and there should
be a drop-down menu that allows u to change ur skin
now, misses, accuracy, and score are the main factors that determine the amount of performance points u get, which are essential for going up in ranks
I suggest you try playing some of my top plays, to earn some easy pp.
i suggest u use this site, https://pp.bcs.dev/ to find the maps u need, it works on any game mode.
there are various filters for many things, such as Minimum-Maximum Song Legnth, Min-Max pp, Min-Max BPM, Min-Max Stars, Min-Max Ar, and either No Mod, dt, hidden, ht, fl, ez, or hr
*For those who dont know what dt, ht, fl, or hr stands for, dt=double time, ht=half time, fl=flashlight, hr=hard rock, and pp=performance points
**Srry, ik how to make hyperlinks in osu! chat, but dont understand how to do it in forums/discussion boards.
