Problem details:
I keep getting the prompt saying "Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the official game releases. Your score will not be submitted." even though i am on the latest version (i have already tried checking for updates in settings and it says im on the latest release). I've seen other people post about this issue but i haven't managed to find a solution that works for me. Have also uninstalled/installed again. Not sure if this is relevant, but i had an issue with not being able to open the game when i first installed it but it fixed itself after opening the game as an administrator.

Here are my game logs:

osu! version:
2024.1009.1-lazer (latest)

you really shouldn't be running the game as admin. Have you tried running the installer without uninstalling the game?

Tried repairing via. the installer but no changes. Also to clarify i'm not running the game as admin every time i open it, only did it for the first boot-up

The auth component can't update, thus the error messages:

2024-10-17 14:29:57 [verbose]: Failed to update: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Users\mikke\AppData\Local\Temp\tmpwunhhn.tmp' is denied.
2024-10-17 14:29:57 [verbose]: at Microsoft.Win32.SafeHandles.SafeFileHandle.CreateFile(String fullPath, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share, FileOptions options)
2024-10-17 14:29:57 [verbose]: at Microsoft.Win32.SafeHandles.SafeFileHandle.Open(String fullPath, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share, FileOptions options, Int64 preallocationSize, Nullable`1 unixCreateMode)

This could possibly be due to the running-as-admin but I'm not really sure why you wouldn't have access to AppData\Local\Temp. If you can figure that part out you can probably get rid of this error by just restarting the game after.

Seemingly the issue was that only the administrator was able to write/edit files in the Temp folder. After changing permissions for my regular user it works fine again (not sure why my regular user had it's permissions stripped but yeah)
