Does changing a beatmap's audio affect ranked status?

Hi Osu Forum. I recently wanted to change a beatmap's audio, specifically Rabbit Hole, so the song is Rachie's English cover and not Hatsune Miku's japanese dub. But would this change beatmap ranking?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, I'm new to these, please redirect me if I am wrong.

only the .osu text file needs to be correct afaik. you can change the 'elements', song, video, storyboard objects included.

Huh, when I tried changing the video a few years back (The beatmap didn't originally have a video) it became unranked, I wonder why. Thanks for the reply

because when you add a video you’ll notice the content in .osu being changed (you’re adding new lines of text to the .osu), while if you’re replacing audio and the new audio file name remains the same then there needs to be no changes made to the .osu file for osu to recognise it. Hence no update required
