[osu!stable] Absurd fps drops

Problem details:My osu! it's giving sudden drops out of nowhere, my osu at first is calm but after 2 maps it drops from 1000 1.6 ms fps to 200-120 fps 8-10 ms is horrible that can anyone tell what it can be?

My pc spec:
i7 7700
16gb Ram
Gtx 1660 super

osu! version: Stable 20240820.1 (latest)

Do you have things open in the background? Have you used task manager to check if something is hogging performance? are you using osu or osu lazer?

Try to limit your FPS to match your monitor's refresh rate. Sometimes, unlimited FPS can lead to stuttering or FPS drops. Is there anything running in the background that might be affecting performance? While gaming, keep the Task Manager open and check the current hardware usage during FPS drops.
If nothing obvious stands out, it would also be worth keeping an eye on your temperatures. I had the same issue, and the cause was high CPU temperatures, which led to applications and games like osu! running slowly and stuttering after a while.
