Adding to knopp have said, there is a massive difference between different kinds of map. Think of a star rating as a guide rather than a benchmark. For example, there is a massive, MASSIVE difference between 5* tv-sized jump maps and 5* low AR reading maps because one is made to be accessible and the other is made to be painfully challenging to even the best players.
That said, it's good to surpass your star rating limit. Just don't think too hard about it perhaps
