I mean, there are a few rhythm games out there which allow users to make their own beatmaps too and stuff like that, many rhythm games are also similar to Osu.

I'm just really wondering, what makes Osu better than other rhythm games?

Is it because of the popularity or nah?

There isn't just one thing that makes osu! better than others. Some people enjoy other games because of their music licensing or the way they are doing the rhythm game aspect.

People may say the community, the mapping scene, the grind, the rankings, etc. Osu! makes itself stand out by allowing the users to experience the game how they want to. The players make the game, the game doesnt make the players.
