I updated yesterday and then I wanted to install some beatmaps and I downloaded them but when it comes to installing the default osu mini is without pictures and I think it's an old osu version. When I tried to update the default I couldn't change it no matter what I chose.

which osu! version are you using? stable or lazer?

By the way, feel free to use your native language if that works better for you

I use lazer. After I did the update the other day.

I think what you're trying to say is that file associations broke. Please try updating the game to the hotfix release from yesterday (2024.906.2) and see if it improves things.

After the update (2024.906.2) I encountered this situation

Then I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to report here because I don't understand your posts. What is wrong? What does "osu mini is without pictures" mean?

I'm talking about thumbnails of files with the osz extension. Sorry for not elaborating.

Could you also say what operating system is this on? Windows, Linux, macOS?

Based on discord discussion, file associations are not set automatically. In order to set windows to always open the file using osu!lazer, right click on the file, and under "open with", choose "choose another option" then select osu and choose the "always" option.

Uhh... what? They should be. And they used to be in previous releases.

I have tried this method many times but it still tries to open with the same app.(Name and path of the application: C:\Users\eser_\Appdata\Local\osulazer\app-2024.817.0\osu!.exe)

the current osu!lazer version is 2024.906.2, it's pointing to a folder that doesn't exist
