Hi, I'm posting this here as kind of a last resort because I truly don't know what's happening. I know there are some already archived/resolved topics around this issue, but none provided enough information about the solving part and they were 10 years old.

A few days ago I was playing osu as one does, and I felt a sudden change in the mouse movements I was making when holding sliders.

It feels like I have some weird latency/magnetism/whatever it is when holding sliders, never had this issue before.

I'm using a SteelSeries prime wireless (brand new) on 400CPI 1000hz polling rate with 2.80 raw input, 1920x1080 (144hz) full screen with uncapped frames. This issue is completely isolated to osu, no other game gives me trouble from this point of view, just osu.

I've tested my mouse latency on this site:https://www.vsynctester.com/testing/mouse.html, and everything was in normal parameters.

Already re-installed windows11 fresh, re-installed gg series app, re-installed drivers for the mouse, etc.

https://imgur.com/a/Fdp9bor this is me playing for a bit to showcase the problem.

Does anyone have any idea as of why this might be happening? Thanks
sne
I'm getting the exact same issue, legit feels like my mouse has aim assist, also started 3 days ago for me.

I also reinstalled windows, upgraded to 11, reinstalled all my drivers, also I dont have mouse acceleration on.

Also only getting this in osu / @4k HZ, 2k HZ and 1k HZ.

Yeah, around 3/4 days for me as well, I did not find any solutions to this problem and I honestly don't know what steps to take in order to solve this. I've tried to play wired as well, and honestly, no difference, it still feels like I have some weird magnetism/assist/latency/WHATEVER it is. I also never had mouse acceleration on.

I've tried running osu in compatibility mode, and tried every solution from similar issues, nothing works.

Also tried another mouse, 502 hero wired, same issue

Yep same here, I just got the superlight 2 and I've tried going back to my old mouse, and the problem still persists.

Is there any recent changes with the HyperLight and its drivers that you both updated to or something.

If either of you have an extra mouse laying around, could you test to see if there is any similarity to the issues you are experiencing between the mice?

I don't know what hyperlight is, but I tested my old mouse as well, Logitech g502 hero wired, and I have the same issue as with SteelSeries prime wireless, both on same settings, same result sadly.

My issue also still persists on my other mouse.

Can you explain what the hyperlight is? Is it some sort of app/driver, cause I don't know what you're talking about to be honest.

I misspoke, I thought the Superlight was called the hyperlight.

I am a little confused, as the video doesn't necessarily show "latency" it shows that you missed the notes and were able to keep up with the song. Maybe a different video or explaining it differently might help, but I know that osu! doesnt have anything in its game to have "aim assist" or magnetism.

What are both of your guys' polling rates?

I'm well aware of the fact that osu doesn't have anything in it's game related to aim assist or magnetism. The issue is within sliders and how weirdly the mouse moves along when holding them. Again, never had this issue before and I think I would be aware if it's just a bad day of osu and my aim is not proper that day.
As I previously said in my comments here, my polling rate is 1k, 400CPI, 2.8 raw input, no acceleration on from windows, never had that option on and the windows doesn't randomly tick that option.
Tried both with SteelSeries prime wireless and wired, same result as well as logitech 502 hero 1k polling rate 400dpi, wired, same results.

It's sad that there's no fix for this, even though I can trace this issue back years just be googling it.
I also encounter the issue when I use tablet.

Yep, I know, I've seen loads of similar issues by googling this and it's just weird that there's no fix.
I don't even play anymore because it's way to annoying to try and improve at the game with that issue still going.
I just can't do anything about it and no one seems to be knowing why this is happening
