I recently got a wacom bamboo cth-670 and well my hand are kind of naturally slippy and sweat quite a bit.. (i have to put baby powder in my hockey gloves.-.)
anyways my pen keeps slowly changing grips over the time of the song which is frustrating.. i'll be doing well in a combo and now my pen is being held by my ring finger and thumb and my index is completely off.. will this just fix itself with practice or do i need to look for a different pen.. btw this pen has a giant awkward button right where my index goes which could also be the cause..

Pretty much all you can do is to use it more and you will get used to it ^^^^^^^^^^

Or maybe for the time when it just can't stay in your hand, every time on a break I would use the tip and press it against my desk / whatever to keep from it falling off.

Try to find one grip you're comfortable with and attempt to stick to it. I used to end up with the pen in all kinds of positions, never fun to play like that.

It takes a while, especially when you try to adjust your grip as you're playing. Wait for a break then adjust then.

Get some elastic bands and wrap them around the pen until it doesn't move around anymore. It not only gives you friction but also works as a "stopper" for your fingers if you start sliding.
