I haven't played in a long time and I'm wondering if there is anything I should know before jumping back in. Gameplay advice, new lore or skins that would give you a benefit in focusing etc.?

The game is dominated by rapid trigger now. Lengthbonus and flow aim + speed are busted, but that's less relevant at your rank. Burst farm maps are extremely viable at basically every level, so you'd probably find traction there if you're looking to rank up.
