I remember back at the beginning of the year when I managed to get a weekend internship. I was in a small room with other interns I didn't know and my goal was to help children in difficulty with their lessons. At first, it was to validate my internship hours for my school and I agreed to continue even though I had completed it, and later on, I was even able to sign a contract so I could finally earn something from my work. I have many fond memories of it, which is why I intend to take it all back by continuing to help children when school starts again (it's senior time baby!!)

What about you guys? What job have you had or are you having?

I used to be a sysadmin (Linux and Windows) and programmer, and before that I did live sound engineering and event setups. But I stopped working in 2013 due to severe anxiety and depression. Now I'm essentially a housewife, a hobbiest programmer, and someone looking for a part-time job that will work with my mental health issues.

for a moment, i would be cheap labor as part-time favors for a relative's friend... it only really was worth about $100 at the time

at another point late last year, i left home and would be responsible for about four or five weeks of caregiving full-time with a very old and isolated grandparent who severely fractured their arm from a fall and was in immense pain while waiting for surgery... so i would help with walking from place to place, and i'd been cleaning and handling pets and other chores plus handling medicine and being a source of good company while also making sure things were coordinated with other family members ^^ that was maybe worth at least $400 or more (maybe even $1000? it surely couldnt have been more than that,, right?), but i don't remember the exact value at all

i don't really have clear plans and don't really have access to very much... i don't have much trust for my own abilities either and have failed to really be persistent with applying for jobs

I'm also a student and you can 100% get a side job after school, the weekends and/or during vacations. I remember there was a dude who's the same age as I who works as a cashier, so they also take inexperienced minors to train them it's not a problem

its easy to get a job here if you're under 30 and on some education, they pick you up as some type of long term employee project

I mean, video editing is kinda broken down here in the 3rd world lol, I make way more money than I'd be able to make with any normal job 😂😂 AND working a third of the time of a regular shift

I work anyywhere from 12 to 20 hs a week and I make more than average (note that you need around 500 to 700 USD per month here to have everything covered), can rent my own place and pay all my own stuff. So yeah it's like a really good way of earning decent and having tons of free time.

i do but like its not the best. ig its fun when i get there and the people are nice. its just that going there and it ruining my weekends is stupid.
