This month we are hosting 2 single elimination divisions.
Big thanks again to ACGL.

REMEMBER TO CHECK IN ON THE DAY

Our aim is to develop the osu! player base in the entire African region. Many players have never played in tournaments before or are not good enough for international tournaments, therefore, by uniting Africa and introducing local competition, we foresee players improving and unleashing skills they never knew they had.
Playing in tournaments is also a great way to make friends and exchange experiences.
At the end of the day, there can only be 1 winner, however; I am sure everyone can enjoy the process and have fun.

If you have any questions or like to help out, feel free to DM me on discord (adam40505).

  7. You can add your discord under "setting" to receive messages/ reminders from the ACGL bot on the ACGL website. Follow this guide for more details.
  8. Please join the Official ACGL Discord where communication would take place. Select the "OSU!" role for pings.
  9. 2v2 Players are expected to "self-ref". Read Match Procedures below.
  10. Rules can be found on the ACGL website under the division you have registered.
  11. Lastly, please share this with all your African friends. Although we are the weakest region compared to other continents, we can still unite and form a community. We hope everyone could have fun and make friends through this event.

Match Procedures

Creating Lobby
  1. Find out who your opponent is under the "bracket" tab on the match page that you signed up from.
  2. The ACGL site will set a player to be "Host".
  3. The host will make a multiplayer lobby by direct messaging BanchoBot on osu! with the following message:
    !mp make ACGL Div X : (Team1) vs (Team2)
(Please enter your Division in place of the X and replace "Team1" and "Team2" with your teamname and your opponent's teamname respectively)
The lobby must be created this way, NOT by clicking "New Game" in Multiplayer.
  4. The host will then invite their opponents and teammate to the lobby.
  5. The host will then format the lobby to the correct win condition (ScoreV2) by typing
!mp set 2 3 5 in the multiplayer chat.
  6. The host will then add our AI powered DragonBot and Adam as referee by typing
    !mp addref DragonMage and
!mp addref Adam40505 in the multiplayer chat.
  7. Once the lobby is created, please send the lobby link (mp link) in the ACGL match page chat so that the Admins can keep an eye on all matches (prior to any maps being played).
  8. The host team should occupy slot 1&2 and opponent team should occupy slot 3&4 in the multiplayer lobby for streaming purposes.
  9. Please note that the host is in charge of ensuring the correct beatmaps are being played.
  10. A reminder that no warmups or maps outside of the pool are to be played.

Ban/Pick Phase
  1. Players would use the roll command (!roll) to determine ban/pick order.
  2. Player with the higher roll will decide between first ban or first pick. If you choose first ban then your opponent will pick first and vice versa.
  3. Each player gets 2 bans. Banned maps cannot be picked during the match.
  4. Players then ban maps in ABBA order. (Player 1 = A, Player 2 = B)
  5. The host will then send all bans in the ACGL Match Page Chat.
  6. Players can then proceed to Map Picks.
  7. After the first map has been played, the rest of the match will proceed with "Loser's Pick".
This means the map picks DO NOT alternate, instead the loser gets to choose what map is played next.
  8. Use Mod# when picking and banning (Eg: nm1)
  9. The mappools for all the division can be found here.
Remember to practice (the correct pool). Mappack download by clicking on the cutest creature on the page.
  10. Round of 16 and quater-final matches will be Best of 7. Which means first player to win 4 maps, wins the match.
  11. Semi-final and final matches will be Best of 9. Which means first player to win 5 maps, wins the match.
  12. Maps that have been played cannot be played again.
  13. In a Tie scenario, 3-3 for BO7 or 4-4 for BO9, the Tie Breaker (TB) will be played. Winner of the Tie Breaker wins the match.
  14. Players must pick at least one mod from the following list when playing FreeMod (FM):
HardRock (x1.1), Hidden (x1.06), FlashLight (x1.12), Easy (x1) or any possible combination from this list.
  15. When playing the Tiebreaker, mods are optional. Players may go NoMod or any mod listed above for FreeMod.
  16. NoFail (NF) WILL be used on all maps with no score penalty.
