Welcome to the second edition of the 6 digit switzerland cup!
After last years initial edition was a success, it was decided that we’re coming back this year! We’re inviting all 6 digits who call Switzerland their home, to participate and have fun with us!
For informations on how to register, please join the Discord and check the #how-to-register channel.
- This tournament allows players whose flag on their osu! profile is the swiss flag, or players who can prove their swiss residency otherwise, to play. Players outside of Switzerland cannot compete in this tournament.
- This tournament enforces a rank range of 100’000 - 999’999. There is no rank buffer. If you are not within this rank range during any point of the registration period, you will not be allowed to participate.
- Due to the country locked nature of this tournament, all times on this forum post and on the sheets will be in Swiss time (UTC+2).
- Because Switzerland has four national languages but not everyone is able to speak all of them, the general communication language during the tournament will be English.
Registrations
Informations on how to register can be found on the tournament server.
Reschedules
- Reschedules must be done in the #reschedules channel on the Discord server.
- Players must send a rescheduling request atleast 12 hours before the original and new match time. After that, a reschedule approval cannot be guaranteed.
- Reschedules cannot be guaranteed to be accepted if the staff team is lacking necessary capabilities for the match.
- We recommend to schedule matches for the weekend due to most players and staffs being available on those days. However, it is allowed to schedule matches outside of weekends if both the opponent player agree and a staff member can be present at that time.
- The latest possible rescheduled match time is the monday after the weekend, 20:00.
Match Procedure: Qualifiers
- 15 minutes before your lobby, you will get pinged in Discord, reminding you of your upcoming Lobby.
- After everyone of the scheduled lobby joined the lobby, the referee will put on the first map. Qualifiers are gonna be played with NoFail, ScoreV2 and Head-to-Head.
- The order of the maps is as follows: NM, HD, HR, DT.
- After the first map has concluded, the referee will put on the second map and so on.
- Once all maps and lobbies have been played, your scores will be compared against the other players.
- You will be assigned a rank based off your scores per map. You will then get an average rank over these Maps. Seed 1 will be the lowest average rank, Seed 64 (or whatever the number of players is that will pass qualifiers) the highest.
- The amount of players who pass qualifiers will be the highest power of 2 of players that are participating.
- We are using our bot Yuki#7918 for automated qualifier reffing. If you have questions on how this works, don’t hesitate to ask on our Discord server.
Match Procedure: Bracket stage
- 15 Minutes before your scheduled time, you will get a ping on Discord, reminding you of your match.
- The referee will create the lobby 10-5 minutes in advance and invite the players.
- The Players will then have to join the match within 15 minutes after the scheduled time. If they are not present 10 minutes after the scheduled match time, they will forfeit their bans. This means that they will not be able to ban any map in this match. If they are not present 15 minutes after the scheduled match time, it counts as an automatic loss for them.
- In the event that both players are not present 15 minutes after the scheduled match time, the player with the higher seed advances automatically.
- After both players are inside the lobby, both players may put on a warmup. The warmups must not exceed 4:00 minutes in drain time. There are no difficulty limits.
- After the warmups, both players will have to roll. The roll winner can choose whether they want to pick or ban first. They will go second on the other option then (e.g. they choose pick first, so they ban second).
- Then, the player who was choosen to ban first bans a map out of the pool, which is not Tiebreaker. After that, the other player will ban a map.
- Should it be a round with 2 bans, then the other two bans will be done. Ban order is ABBA.
- A player is not permitted to ban two maps from the same category. NoMod maps are excempt from this rule. (No doublebanning except NM)
- When the bans are done, the player who has first pick will pick a map from the pool, which is not banned and is not Tiebreaker. The referee will then put on the picked map and adjust the lobby settings.
- Players have 2 minutes to pick a map. If they fail to choose a map in time, the map choice will pass to the other players. This will have no effect on the order of the picks afterwards.
- It is not possible to pick a map from the same category as on the players last pick. NoMod maps are excluded from this rule. (No doublepicking except NM)
- All maps will be played with the mod that the map belongs to (e.g. HD 1 will be played with HD, DT 2 with DT and so on). Additionally, ScoreV2 and NoFail are enforced on every map.
- Both players will have 120 seconds to get ready. When both players are ready, the referee will start the map.
- As soon as the map is over, the player with the higher score on the map gets a point.
- After that, the other player than the one who picked lastly gets the ability to pick a map, and it repeats from here on.
- When both players are at matchpoint, the Tiebreaker will be played.
- As soon as one player reaches the needed amount of points, the match is over and the win goes to that player.
