This would reduce the number of keys used for hotkeys in mod selection, and would make sense as they are just variations of the same mod.

Essentially parity with osu!stable where clicking d once gives you double-time, twice gives night-core, and thrice disables the mod.

This is already implemented and possible. Change the "mod select hotkey style" in settings to "classic".
