Difference between normal osu and osu lazer?

I've played both versions, but had to be forced to switch on lazer since the normal osu doesn't exist on mac.

Could somebody explain to me why osu!lazer gets less pp than the other version? And why is it easier to get more score on osu!lazer than osu??

It's way easier to get on the leaderboards now, but harder to get pp.

I understand that this doesnt explain your questions, but pp/score is in flux (as far as I am aware) on lazer and is being improved with each update. your pp issue is probably to do with this and your score difference (unless you are using classic scoring) is more than likely to do with this
