[osu!stable] Is there a way to reinstall Osu and transfer skins and song/ score files?

Problem details:
My game started to bug out and now I can't open new beatmap files I download. Some forum I read said i just need to reinstall.

What type of error are you getting when you try and import new beatmaps? Are the downloads downloading in a folder form or are they downloading as a .osz?

To answer your question you can take the skin and songs folder out of the current osu! folder and save them somewhere else and reinstall that way and when the new installation is finished you just import the folders
