After two years, STT is back!
  1. STT4 is an international, double-elimination, 2v2 osu! tournament with team sizes ranging from 2 to 4.
  2. The tournament will be played using TeamVS and ScoreV2.
  3. Players who are ranked #150-15,000 (BWS) in the osu! game mode may participate. There is no rank buffer. Ranks will be frozen when the registration period ends.
  4. This tournament features significantly more gimmick & reading maps than a traditional tournament.
  5. The BWS formula is standard: bws=r^(0.9937^(b^2)), with r = osu! rank and b = # of tournament badges.
  6. Streamers, commentators, and graphic designers may play in the tournament.
  7. Eliminated players may apply to be referees, playtesters, and/or replayers.
  8. All posted times and schedules are in UTC unless explicitly specified otherwise.
  9. Mappools will be released on the Monday following the previous match weekend (barring any exceptional circumstances).

General
  1. At a minimum, the team captain must be in our Discord server.
  2. All players must abide by the osu! community rules when participating.
  3. Communication in our Discord server must be kept appropriate and suitable for all ages.
  4. Toxicity and inappropriate behavior towards any user (especially staff) will be reported to osu! staff.
  5. Team names must be appropriate.
  6. Common sense prevails where rules do not.
Qualifiers
  1. Qualifiers must be played during the qualifiers weekend (see schedule).
  2. Custom lobbies are permitted so long as the request is made 24 hours in advance of the desired lobby time. The tournament organizers reserve the right to deny these requests should it be unreasonable to accommodate.
  3. All qualifier lobbies must be scheduled to begin on or before Monday 16UTC following the qualifiers weekend.
  4. Qualifiers will be played through in order, beginning with NM1 and ending with the last map of the qualifiers pool.
  5. Teams must perform the qualifiers in one lobby. At least 2 players from the team must be present for each map.
  6. Should a team exit the qualifier lobby early, the remaining maps will be counted as 0 score and will not be eligible for replay.
  7. Deseeding is prohibited and will be reported.
  8. Teams have 90 seconds to ready up between maps.
  9. If a player disconnects in the first 30 seconds, they may replay the map once at the end of the lobby. If they are unable to replay the map for some technical issue, another member of the team may take their place.
  10. The top 32 qualifying teams will proceed to a Round of 32 double-elimination bracket.
  11. The seeding method is z-sum.

Match Procedures
  1. Captains will be invited by their assigned match referee 5 minutes before the scheduled time. They will be notified 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
  2. A 5-minute grace period is given to late teams. Teams who fail to show up after the 5-minute grace period will lose by default.
  3. Each team has one 2-minute timeout to use at any point during the match.
  4. Timeouts must be called in chat before any active timers expire (else it will be ignored).
  5. There will be no warmups.
  6. In the event a player disconnects within approximately the first 30 seconds of a map, the map will be aborted and replayed.
  7. In other disconnect circumstances, a "last known score" may be provided (e.g. liveplay, osu! client screenshot).
  8. In the event of a disconnect replay, rosters must remain the same, barring the disconnected player should they be unable to play.
  9. Teams will have 90 seconds to pick, ban, and ready up.
  10. Should a team fail to appropriately abide by the match timers, the referee may opt to enforce the following punishments per breach of the timer rules (denoted by numbered list): 1) Written warning; 2+) Loss of current choice (e.g. pick or ban); Force !mp start 15 timer (if the situation allows for it); If a team fails to have 2 players in the lobby by the time the ready-up timer completes (+ a minimum 10 second buffer), the offending team will automatically lose the point and the match will proceed as normal.
  11. Referees may be loose or strict with timers at their discretion (within reason), provided the judgements are fair for both teams.
  12. When prompted, captains will !roll at the start of the match. Repeat if a tie occurs until there is a winner.
  13. The winner of the !roll will have the first choice order. e.g. they may choose to pick or ban first or second.
  14. The loser of the !roll will choose first or second on the remaining order. e.g. they may choose the ban order if the !roll winner chose the pick order.
  15. Double picks and bans are allowed. However, neither team may ban the last available map for a mod slot.
  16. Where applicable, bans are ABBA.
Scheduling
  1. Default match times will always fall within the designated match weekend. Teams are assumed to be available on weekends.
  2. The tournament organizers reserve the right to approve or deny reschedule requests that would significantly delay a round or the tournament entirely. These will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
  3. All reschedule requests must be posted 24 hours in advance of the desired match time.
  4. All reschedule requests must be posted inside of a thread in the tournament's Discord server.
Freemod
  1. NF is required for all players.
  2. Allowed mods are HD, HR, EZ, and FL.
  3. The EZ mod multiplier will depend on the map. This multiplier will be listed publicly ahead of time.
  4. In a freemod map, one player must take HD or EZ. The other player must take HR or HDHR.
  5. Tiebreaker maps are freemod, but no mods are required.
