Changing the font in the game

So, I would like to know if there will be a font change feature in the game in the future. Now there is almost no way to change the font in the game, usually Chinese players change it, so it is difficult to understand anything even with a translator. Also, apparently, this is an illegal change, for which you can get banned.

When I'm searching about threads talking about font change, I only come across 2014-2015 threads saying it is not possible to change it. This is not really an important subject I guess, so there will be no font changes in the future

Editing game files may get you restricted/banned. Please don't do it.

As for this, I believe the situation may be better in osu!lazer, Please give that a shot if the stable client doesn't work for you (stable client is from a very long time ago so getting a good chinese font probably wasn't a focus).

If it's not better in osu!lazer, feel free to leave a Discussion post on the github page (https://github.com/ppy/osu) and there's a decent chance that if enough people agree, it can be changed.

We are unlikely to provide the option to change the font even in lazer.

For efficiency we use pre-baked sprite sheets with all characters that the client must support, for our chosen fonts. Supporting this for arbitrary fonts would be complicated and likely look bad due to sizing or stylistic mismatches.

This is unfortunate. I would like to see the ability for lazer to support any of the default fonts (or the ones installed on your computer) but I can understand why not
