I was playing a loved map and somehow lost 2 ranked positions I played it again and I gained a rank again whats going on?

my take: one of the players passing you in rank was caught likely cheating and got restricted
its possible that one of your earlier ranked plays were taking a while to register
You don't gain pp directly from loved maps, it's because one of your scores took a moment to register on bancho and it updated through that loved map you played
