Looking for orchestral/instrumental maps

Hello there,

I've asked the same question 2 days ago on the fr forum but seeing it was kinda dead I thought i would try my luck here, hoping that it is the right place to ask.
I really enjoy orchestral music (the likes of two steps from hell or what you can find in video games like fire emblem or the elder scrolls) as well as some instrumental/rock pieces (musics from video games likes Ys/trails are always my go to) and I was thinking - if I was going to spend time on osu I might as well try to play music that I truly enjoy.
I've already taken everything I could find for the above mentionned, but the quantity left me wanting, so I was wondering if you guys could direct me towards other maps using similarly themed musics. I'm currently training with stuff between 2.5 to 3.5 stars so if what you have has difficulties around that that's even better, but it's not necessary - at worst it can be something to aim to to keep me motivated in my progression.

If by chance I have posted this in the wrong place feel free to correct and direct me.

Many thanks in advance,

Glon

Best I can advise you is to pick the instrumental language and search from there. I'm not that familiar with orchestral music (read: I don't like it) so I can't really narrow it much farther for you.

edit: Wow, another "joined early, dropped for years, came back recently" player.

Haha Yes I guess my profile would give it away quite quickly, what with maps from 10 years ago and 3 days ago both being in my top maps. At least I'm glad I got back to my previous (rather low) level kinda quickly.

I dunno if this is a language comprehension or me not knowing some searching tool that is out there, but I'm not sure if I either don't know how to do what you just said or straight didn't get what you mean. If you or someone could elaborate that would be great.

Still thanks for answering, i'll try to decode this when I got some time.

In the beatmap listing page, if you click the "more search options" drop-down it will give you extra filters such as genre, language, your ranking, etc. If you filter just by "instrumental" only that should at least narrow it down to non-vocal tracks. You could also filter by "Classical" or "other" to help.

However, I believe that does require having Supporter to use anything there (aside from the stuff already visible which doesn't require the tag).

I had never realized I could do this xD this will take some time but at least I've got something to work with. I'm checking right now, the search tool seems to work fine even without being supporter. Still, i'll keep this thread open if anyone has stuff they could recommend specifically

This mapset is both instrumental and extremely farm for new players.
