Alright so, if I pick any star rating I'm decent at, be it 4.2*, 4.5*, even 4.8* up to 5*, if I play stamina, burst, jump, or "normal" maps of that one diff, my skills are pretty much all balanced, and I usually perform similarly in all of those types of maps. But when it comes to playing tech maps of the same star rating, my acc and ability to keep up combo plummets. Is there anything I may be doing wrong about playing tech maps? is there any other way to improve rather than the classic "play more" or is that the mantra here aswell?

It's impossible to say for sure without a replay, but generally strength in tech relies on your ability to properly read more complex/unintuitive/rarer patterns instead of your raw ability to move from one circle to another quickly and precisely (as would a more raw mechanics focused map), so focus on that.
