im not pretty sure about whether this would be in this subforum, but recently my tapping feels really strange. Last week, I used to single tap normally and play very good to me. But then suddenly one day my tapping felt really strange, especially my single tap. Whenever I press the key down, it feels very different to what I used to feel before, and when I hold the slider and then click into the circle, my index got locked on the key that I cannot release it upward normally. This only happens when I play the game, as when I tap outside without tapping any circle, it feels fine to me. This tapping issue not only affect my single tap, but also affect my alternate and stream, as I feel like I just started playing the game when I use my middle finger. Usually I warm up for 5-10 minutes and I can play normally, longest was about 20 mins if I have like some issues, but recently I play for 45 mins but it always feel the same, similar to when I started to play. I'm not sure what's the problem, I thought going on a 2 days break would help out a bit, but it doesn't. Furthermore I got my qual to play next week, so I am very concerned about what happening right now. Thank you

If you have rapid trigger or some other fancy stuff maybe you messed up your settings and your fingers compensating for the difference feels wrong to you (and is causing you to underperform). Otherwise I think it's probably all just mental. Take a step back. Examine your technique and see what's wrong.

if you have a keyboard instead of a keypad, try to switch the key you're using. or clean the keys, something could've got under them. I fucked my zx keys after 3 years so now I have to use as, lol.

besides that, idk try to rest until a day or two before the qualifier and not think about osu at all until that time.

if you can't rest, put on nofail and just hit keys without even thinking about being extra precise for a bit, vaguely following patterns. your muscle memory should be able to kick in and you'll reset your tapping.

Just an off day it looks like, do a speed map with NF DT and don't think on hitting it perfectly just tap and hopefully you'll go back to normal idk. Try it out

^ does it has something to do with being tense? or does it feel very heavy? which can be a form of tension also.. have you tried playing noob maps just for fun? have you been in a stress recently? have you been? have you been? been? been? been? been?

If it just feels heavy I suggest you try and find out which part is feeling it the most. It could also be that you unconsciously changed playing position and form.. Hope you get better... Mr Been
