Okay, first, you seriously need to start learning how to actually type sentences. This and your title was a huge amount of word vomit that barely makes any coherent thought or statement and it's near-impossible to help you if you can't articulate what the problem is properly or coherently.

That being said, I'm going to try to parse this.

"I can't play 2.3 songs that have faster notes on hard rock than 4.9 on Hard Rock"

Are you talking bpm or AR? Those both technically make the notes "faster" but it different ways.

bpm is the actual speed of the song. If you imagine tapping a beat onto your thigh with a finger, how fast you tap your finger is the bpm of the map. In this, it's not dependent on the SR of the map.

AR is the approach rate, or how much time you have to react to any one note appearing on a map. To use the same finger-tapping example, this would be like having your vision be at the same level as that thigh, putting huge black bars over your vision so you only have a line of a certain thickness to see the finger come down and thus can only see the tapping when it enters that thin bar of vision. While most 4* maps already come at AR8-9 already (which is upped to AR10 with HR), there are some 2* maps that use AR7 or 8 (AR9.8-10), so in that sense they can be just as "fast" as 4* maps with HR on.

"wtf is this song doing faster than a 4.9 on hrdt"

That's likely also part of the problem. You as a 1.6M shouldn't even be playing maps with hrdt, much less 4* maps (whether they're adjusted in SR for hrdt or not). You just haven't learned the underlying fundamental skills to even attempt those maps, much less the high-level skills that would make those maps possible.

As for the mappers, to be frank I doubt you have much of a leg to stand on as a newbie player to judge how good or bad a map is unless it's something really stupidly obvious.

My first suggestion would be to not play anything with mods. You need to learn things rhythm sense and how to read the approach circles to know when to click to the beat, and all the 1* and 2* maps that have ARs from 0-4 are perfect for that. Mods like dt, hr or hd get in the way because they either increase the difficulty of learning those skills or completely abandon them for a different skillset entirely. dt, for instance, screws with your rhythm sense because you're not playing the map at its "proper" speed; hr affects your AR, od and inverts all objects so it messes with your reading ability, and this gets even worse once hr-adjusted AR starts reaching 8-9 as that's very hard for newbies to react to if they aren't used to it beforehand; and hd makes reading even more difficult because you not only lose the approach circle for help with timing but also have to know how to track where the objects where since they disappear on you. All of that doesn't help you learn to play the game properly.

Next is the learn your limits. If your only reason for playing some 4.9* map with HR is because you saw some epic play at some point, you simply aren't going to be able to replicate it no matter how hard you try. You don't have the skillset yet, and the chances of you being some wonderkid are basically zero. Start with 1-1.5* maps, no matter how boring they may be. If you can get high accuracy on at least 10-15 random maps in that range (95-97% or more), then bump it up by about .2 or .3*, and repeat until you start getting accuracy in the low 90s or mid/high 80s. That's where your skill falls off and thus the next hurdle you're aiming to beat. That 2. or .3* below that point should basically be your practice zone where your ability matches the difficulty of the map, and anything below is stuff too easy for you. Start from there and work your way up. Then when you reach that 4.9* again, it might still be fast but now you actually stand a chance at playing it.

tl;dr There is no tldr. Read the whole thing. If nothing else, read the first paragraph and learn to sentence properly.

You're pushing way too hard, for too early! Play more maps you're comfortable with for achieving higher and higher accuracy!

You can play more maps without putting any mod first to see how far you can go, if anything you can Full Combo right away! Mods are meant to be played once you're far, far more capable than simply going without it

How fucking hard is it to say "These maps are too fast. I hate that they're too fast"? That is such an easy and comprehensible pair of sentences to say. Succint, to the point, and still has the gripe-y tone they were going for.

It's literally not that hard. He's in Canada, not the bumfuck middle of Africa, and with that word vomit I almost feel like that's an insult to Africans who barely know English. Just take a moment to organize your thoughts and your sentences, don't just type whatever it is that came up in your head.

Complication don't work for beginners and human are adaptable.

You can nudge someone to a better direction just with simple advice instead of walls of text. They'll eventually understand how the best way to play osu by themselves.

That has very little to do with criticizing him for atrocious grammar and spelling, which is what I was venting about in that quote. For the bit it does matter, I tend to be very verbose as I can find it hard to fit what I want to say into only 3-4 lines. Plus it's extra annoying to see 7-digits complain the game is too hard when they're playing 4* maps (adjusted or not) and likely can't even do better than a B-rank 75-85% pass.

If you want to argue that I went overboard about it, fair enough, and I apologize for that. Still needed to be called out, though.

I can understand that seeing 7 digits complaining about osu! with a not-so-good spelling is quite frustrating. Every day there are new players who join the game, and every day some of these players are complaining about something that is normal to us, which is totally fine. As players who are used to play osu!, we have to let them learn by themselves so they can enjoy clicking circles in peace.

Most of us tried maps too hard for us when we first started the game, because they look really cool and fast and we think we might get it if we keep trying it over and over. It's completely normal, nothing for people to be getting frustrated about.

OP, the whole game is going to feel fast when you're first starting. Just start with what you can do well on and work your way up and eventually the maps won't feel fast.
