Ordered it for $1,700 off of Amazon; comes with a digital readout and has a wireless transmitter to strap around your chest and let the world know what your heartrate is, as well as the ability to play mp3s from a bitchin' speaker system.

Actually, supergarlic is right. PiU or ITG is better if you can find those, though.

my mom already has a gym membership and my dad works at a police/secret service/general governement training facility so he works out at the gym there every day, but they're almost obsessed with losing weight, especially my mom, so they want to be able to work out on the days they don't go to gym/work.

My mom is keeping her gym membership until the end of the school year just because she has to have a good reason to wake up early and take me to school (I have a zero period class) but once that's done she's canceling it and using the machine at least once a day.

And yes, it will be used, because I have seen my mom go for a two hour run when she couldn't go to the gym.
