So I've been looking around the forums trying to learn about storyboarding, and also trying to reverse engineer m980's "Don't Stop Me Now", but I can't figure out how to change the pass "O" and the fail "X" during breaks to my own .png images. I can get them to show up, but they appear behind the default O and X (and I'd like to delete the default icons if possible) -- can this be done? D:

Skin the Pass and Fail icons either to nothing or to what you want them to be. You can download the template skin from the Updater.
Are you trying to skin the pass/fail icons in Don't Stop Me Now? The reason you'd be seeing double there is because m980 skinned them blank, then storyboarded them in. So if you replaced the blank ones with your own, you'd see both yours and m980's
