hihi! I've been learning Pixijs lately, and I came across an old, abandoned osu! clone made for the web (https://github.com/111116/webosu). It has plenty of features and seems to be the best one I've seen so far, even more features than webosu.online, which is a fork of it.

Point is, I've forked it and translated it to English (it was originally all in Chinese) and moreover, I also added touchscreen support. I'm planning on maintaining this project further, be aware that the live plays feature is broken since I'm using Github Pages.

Feel free to try it here: https://webosu-2.github.io/

I need to learn Pixi.js, so please drop some feedback.

osu!(lazer) is available on iOS through a TestFlight link.

Hi! Looks like I can't seem to try that out from this link https://mostlime12195.github.io/webosu-2.0/index.html
Did you forgot to set up something or it is that webosu doesn't like GitHub pages, in which GH pages only likes static webpages a.k.a. can't run server software in it, only html+css+js?

Ah sorry, I switched the url from that mess to https://webosu-2.github.io but forgot to edit my post, my bad. You are correct in that Github pages only allows html, css, and js, it isn't a problem for me because that's all I use.

I also didn't know that osu!lazer could be played on iOS, it does seem that you need be a developer first though. Good to know.

And I also don't know what "the challenge" is, I'm not very tuned in to the events that goes on around here.

The TestFlight link is https://osu.ppy.sh/home/testflight, and thanks to European regulations a sideloadable binary is also available at GitHub.

That one probably only applies to iOS devices in EU

I've been using the old version for a while and alot of the songs that were on there are now gone. Really popular artists and songs are just gone now. Like yoasobi and others. And I see the cause being that you have changed the bitmap provider from the previous 'Sayobot' to 'Mino'. I don't really know how this works, so I'm just wondering if you're able to change the provider back to the previous one, or if the current provider is able to add more popular songs?

Yes, I am able to change it back. I was aware of the issue before the switch, but thought it a worthwhile upgrade. The reason for the switch from SayoBot to Mino is because mainly for the speed (although it also has better search functionality). SayoBot hosts its servers over in China, and thus has slower download speeds and higher ping times for people farther away from China. Mino was created to replace it, as it has several servers around the world, providing much better connectivity. The side effect is that Mino still has plenty of quirks, one of which being that it doesn't have as many beatmaps. I have directly spoken to the creator of Mino, and it seems to be an issue he is working on. This issue has been annoying for me too, and I am working on an option to switch to SayoBot, at least until Mino is fixed.
