[Archived] Cant launch the game

Problem details:
Cant launch the game. It starts updating, says that I have last version and closes. Nothing happens next.

Can you please copy and paste the contents of the update.log into this thread here? The update.log can be found in your osu! folder > in the logs folder.


Also, Can you try updating your .net framework? Preferably to 4.8.1?

Hello. I've been having the same problem. Updating the .net framework didn't help. I also tried running the installer again. Here are my matching logs.

When did this issue start? If it is still happening pack & upload your Logs folder and give a link to it please

Seems like you have the same issue? When did that start and are you using an antivirus?

The issue started for me after the most recent update for stable. The game opened fine then and prompted me to update, but the restart for the update never finished. After that, I could not open the game. I think I have malewarebytes installed, but I am not at my home computer at the moment.

edit- after looking at the other thread about the same issue, would like to confirm that lazer does indeed work while stable does not.

yes, same
i have no antivirus but stable still not working, however lazer works well

The fix from this form (using the osuinstaller with the new release) did work for me.
