Man, I have so many good ideas for songs that aren't mapped yet. I try and make a map myself and my timing and everything is always pretty good, but I'm an uncreative creature and suck at placement. Are there any "guides," or tips rather, about good note placement? I know there's a guide somewhere on here about different techniques, like stars and certain jumps, but I'm talking about normal notes. I try to make the notes flow well, but I end up making a really boring map.

I'm just going to do some drugs and see what happens from there.

honestly, I just place notes and then move my mouse around the path a few times. If I have to jerk awkwardly, then it doesn't flow. If it flows naturally, it flows naturally

Yeah, but constant smooth flow sucks. It really does--it's boring. Flow is dependent on the feel of the music.

Become a symmetry mapper and you'll instantly have a following of players playing your maps. Look at how successful it got Andrea.
