when i download a beatmap and click the file, it import to osu!lazer how do i stop this and make sure it import to osu standard

You have to check your OS settings to change what program use the .osz file.

For Windows 10 there's community/forums/topics/652642?n=8 and on Windows 11 it should be similar

Go into File Explorer then find Downloads Right-click the .osz file then click Open With. Find osu! stable Then Always (if it shows up)
