I'm still a lowly 100k and I feel super inconsistent on maps with long bursts and streams as well as low BPM deathstreams. I can somewhat aim and tap the streams, but my accuracy is completely rubbish as I cannot force myself to sync my tapping to the BPM of the song. Most likely a case of play more, but I want to know what ranks did you guys start to get consistent and basically be confident in hitting streams that appear in the 6-6.5* range?

it depends on your go-to skillset and how much time you are willing to spend on grinding your tapping, rank doesnt matter
i started accing streams around 90k rank when i played lots of multi where i often came across 5 min stream consistency maps
adapt and overcome
deathstreams over 200 bpm still give me chills tho

Just around 7k pp. Maybe a little lower. I'm still iffy on low bpm flow aim. Definitely note that people's definitions of "consistently" and "accurately" are going to vary greatly.
This is going to sound a bit harsh but I think that players tend to greatly overestimate their ability to stream. Many people disregard acc and od 8 maps like rog help as well. Regarding the upper end of the range you gave, 6.5* is quite a high bar as well. Fcing a 6.5* stream map with good accuracy is often going to net at least 350 pp and sometimes 400. Someone who can consistently do that will be ranked at least in the 20ks.
My general advice for streams is to not lazy read and to try to focus on each note of the stream if possible, and certainly on each spacing/curvature change. Most of flow aim and accing streams boils down to reading.

Maybe like 40k? I don't remember being able to stream at all before that. I was a full on jump one trick then and i still am, but ive got the basics at least. Though i am still speed capped

I feel like I just downgraded myself from just having to fc hard diffs, because I haven't played much osu! recently...
But I can still get some decent hard diff. scores I guess, ok nvm the hard diffs that i play would not make the players get impressed at all. ._.
