Hi all, I'm working on a few new collections for beginners (You can see my older ones here.) A lot of newbies come to reddit asking for good maps for them to start out with, and they usually get told "It doesn't matter, they're all the same anyways." But I know from my experience that there are fun and not fun low star maps! Since it's been a few years since I've been a total beginner myself, what I think is fun might not be fun for beginners at all, and I can't remember very well what I used to play. So if you're a beginner or if you can remember maps you thought were fun as a beginner, I thought I'd ask for your help so that beginners in the future can have a better starting experience!
