So I’ve been playing for almost a year now and I still can’t FC 5* maps, I can pass a lot of them but not with the best acc (75-90acc roughly).

Does anyone have some “easy” 5-6* maps for me to get used to it more?
I’m just kind of sick of playing 4* maps all of the time…

I know what you’re thinking… “play more and don’t focus on SR”

I just feel like I’m stuck at the moment and I genuinely don’t know what to do to improve at this point and want to be able to play some of my favorite maps without using NF.

Also, any kind of advice besides from “play more” would be highly appreciated :D

have you tried playing 5* no mod maps? from looking at ur top plays, it seems like most of them are hdhr / dt plays on high 3* maps. (and that daidai genome play LOL)

generally, the structure of a 3* map is much easier and different than 5*.

i haven't passed my first 5* yet (rank ~400k like you) so i can't exactly give map suggestions, but that would be the best advice i can give.

Easiest would be depending on you but how about aim farm maps? 5*s start to introduce your to jump so if you haven't get yourself used to the difficulty already, you can try build your aiming first. Aim seems trivial but I believe it's the most fundamental things in osu. a lot of your out of comfort zone due to lacking in aiming rather than everything else.

If you already feel that your aiming is enough but slippery or your accuracy is less ideal that you hoped, It might be useful to learn more technical skillsets. Alternating and finger control would do. It'll refine your mechanical skillsets and making you playing more effectively

Yeah, every 5* map I play is Nm, the DT plays were mainly from when I got into DT haha
But that being said, I just really like playing HDHR on maps that I can easily NM FC ^^

But yeah, as I said, FCing 4* is no problem, it’s just getting used to 5 stars in general

Haven’t really been playing aim farm maps lately so gonna give that a try and see how that goes :D

Regarding mechanical skills; my aim is pretty good for maps up to 5.6* rn, alternating isn’t a problem since I was playing full alt when I first started playing >.<
Finger control on some rhythms is slacking but I’m currently working on that and I feel like I’ve been improving on that over the past couple of days.

Also, thank you for the maps and the advice! <3

improve at something you make mistakes in.

try to see the mistakes in how you aim or click the circle - those are the things you can affect in the present when playing, with conscious effort.

Try to not "play on autopilot". See what you can do to improve your aim and accuracy. Pay attention to your movements.

Also, play more is probably the best advice you can get. After all, this is a rhythm game. You have to create muscle memory to get better. You create muscle memory by playing more.

Yes, that’s what I’ve been doing the past few days and already noticed a huge difference in my aim, the think I’m struggling with right now is mostly finger control so I’m playing a lot of maps that require finger control now if that makes sense.

Also changed my tablet area a few days ago and I feel like it has improved my aim as well now that I’m used to the new area
