I'm looking to buy a budget tablet, I've looked at a few buying guides and tier lists and I'm currently eyeing the following ones:

-> Huion 420
-> Huion HS64
-> XP Pen G640
-> XP-Pen G430S
-> Gaomon S620
-> Veikk VK430 (290RPS but I've seen bad reviews on this one, apparently it has a low antichatter (40hz))

The best budget option seems to be the Wacom CTL-472 but it's still a bit expensive for me...
any opinions?

I am a mouse player so I am not too knowledgeable on tablets, but I have heard some bad things about XP-pen being low quality and crappy.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

in my case the anti slide thingies under the tablet wore out pretty quick, because i play with my entire hand sticking to tablet, if you want to but g640 make sure its the rev A version

I have the huion 430p it’s really small and works really well but there is quite some smoothing

Save your money and buy a CTL-472, it’s around 50$.

I 2nd that, really nice tablet.
I use it as my backup tablet :D
If you have some more money to spare I’d highly recommend the CTL-4100 :)

I have the same tablet, Huion H430P. I think this is just my problem due to configuration of my setup (ranging from windows herself, OTD, some tweaks I've made, etc) but the hardware smoothing on my tablet is out of place. I can have really, really heavy 'aiming on ice' feel and then next 15 min it suddenly become very light. It just feels weird having to constantly adjust for randomly fluctuating hardware smoothing and for this reason, I despise H430P.

Whatever you do, do not buy the Huion420 or it's buttoned alternative. It's a terrible experience even for its low price tag.

after trying multiple tablets over the years, I got a XP-Pen G430S now and it's really good especially for it's price. Like I don't even see a reason to buy "a better one" right now.
