[Archived] osu! maps will freeze right before a note hits

1 osu! maps will freeze before a note hits
2 sometimes when in this state the game won't let me pause, even after waiting at least a second
3 sometimes when I play an osu! map for the first time (not a retry) the notes and map will are massively sped up (killing me every time) and then it goes back to normal speed when I die

Does it still happen if you select "Audio Compatibility Mode" from the settings? Have you selected the correct audio device? Have you installed the drivers for the audio device that you're using? Also try checking if you have any pending Windows/Your OS updates

yes it still happens, I have the correct audio device selected, and I have the drivers updated and Windows is fully updated

wait it wont even let me turn on audio compatibility mode wtf

Isn't this the occuring bug with maps with the first note location placed really close to 0 ms?
