Is having too much s ranks considered retry spamming? I've been trying to fc or ss 2 stars and I can do that easily same with 3 stars, but I can get some SS' (this is not important), but I can Full combo 3-3.6 stars. But is staying in your comfort zone a bad thing? I know caring about ranks and pp aren't important and to enjoy what I play instead of caring about all those. But this is a question that was lingering in my mind.

dw about your comfort zone for now, S ranks are a sign you're doing good.

of course, you should try something outside your comfort zone from time to time, you might move to 4* if you do that consistently

going out of your comfort zone is an important part of improvement but if you perma stay out of comfort zone you will eventually strain your hand muscles/begin mashing and rng flicking jumps if the diff is too high
playing 0.5 stars above what you are omfortable with is good

you should play about 0.2-0.5* outside your comfort zone if you want to improve, and having a lot of S ranks is a flex imo... When I want easy pp I just play a 1* map with HRDTHD or NC, depending on the speed

No, never.

Staying with your comfort zone means that you understand yourself. What are your strength, your potential ahead, and your challenges.

Every S are your proof of mastery. Once you are satisfied with what you can do on certain star range. You can safely proceed for going harder maps.

finally something i'm an expert in :p LOL

I've loved getting lots of S ranks since I started playing. It's not a bad thing in the very beginning, because it can't really be bad to get all of the basics down. However, if you keep up the habit without striking the right balance, it will lead to overall slower improvement, because if you only practice what you're already good at, you'll only get better at what you're already good at. Just shift the balance of easier/harder maps a bit if you notice you aren't improving and it should be fine. : )
