I guess that's the main reason people enjoy it.
Yes, it's a bugged experiment which people loved, so they released. Really, they won on lottery
Also, it uses an nice psychs engine to make everything work, to have multiplayer they would have to either: A:use a huge amount of bandwidth to sync everything. B: Make the game less cool, reducing the details and realism of the graphic engine(lolwut)
