So, i found this profile when looking for top scores on the beatmap https://osu.ppy.sh/beatmapsets/2090055#osu/4384218

This player most likely uses cheats when passing beatmaps. This is noticeable in replays and changes in the final values of the results. In addition, the player does not stand out for special skills in the game and does not look like a deranker player. What do you say?

The player still holds the top 2 places on the maps, which have only recently become rated.

If you think they're cheating make sure to report them from their profile or from one of their scores

And of course the bastard has his DMs to friends only. It's particularly annoying that one of those "1st place" scores (Bad Elixir) is a map I SS'd already, so I know that 9M is literally impossible regardless of the mod combos used (not even 4-mod).

Well, I did my part in reporting, anyways. They think they can hide this in places they think people won't check, but it only takes one look to figure it out.

Very weird there is not an auto ban for scores like these. I don't know anticheat stuff so maybe its very difficult to add but I see these sort of cheated scores everyday at this point.

i mean realistically i dont think its too hard to implement something where if the score goes over the maximum possible for a map it gets deleted at least

How long osu! exist without anticheat? I think it's not as difficult as it seems to implement an algorithm that processes suspicious results based on the maximum points embedded in the cards. I mean, Peppy and his team of coders have been working on the game for a long time and it's unlikely that the problem of protecting against cheaters is so difficult for them. In the end, it would simplify the task of the so-called "patrol" (as in CS:GO or DOTA2). If the algorithm decides during the processing of the result that it is suspicious, it sends a request to the patrol team, which in turn evaluates whether the result is falsified. And if, as in our case, we are talking about players multiplying the results to the impossible, then you can allow the algorithm not to automatically register it and immediately automatically send a report to the cheater. Then follow the usual pattern.

In the end, I just suggested a possible solution to the problem with so many cheaters. It is primitive, but already against the particularly arrogant, as defcfg should work with a bang, it seems to me.

osu! does have an anticheat of some sort, but for lazer im pretty sure hes developing a new one for lazer

From Blushing on a different thread

Besides the obvious fact that osu! isnt an FPS, the dev team is currently working on an anti-cheat for lazer as we speak.
