BEST PLAYERS OF 2023

2023 was honestly one of the biggest year in osu! history with all these iconic scores set such as the first NM 1.1kpp play by Rektygon, a 11* EZDT choke FC by splitty and even a 1.7kpp play by Akolibed, but who are exactly the best players of the year?

It's kind of a discussion thread to find who are the best players on each skillsets (stamina, speed, reading, finger control, etc...) and also to find who's the rookie of the year (= the best new top player of 2023)

I personally have my idea but I want to hear about yours guys

i really wish i could put khz here as the best stamina player, but he didnt really set any cool scores this year so im gonna go with ninerik as he is able to hold impressive accuracy on really intense maps

for speed im chosing akkolibed (it doesnt need any explenation)

best reading player would be probably worst hr player

best finger control and aim control player is probably maliszewski but i would also consider ekoro and worst hr player

best aim goes to mrekk (he is literally nailing 200 bpm jumps, cant discredit him)

and for rookie of the year i think ima go with aimbotcone, insane plays

Decaten for tournies, he may not have been at the Midtable (le joke about the Roundtable) or part of OWC this year, but he popped off hard in the Tournament scene and in the game in general. I can't wait to see what he will do next year to show his own form of dominance

- Speed is obviously Akolibed but also players such as ninerik, -Flary, WindowLife, sytho, etc...

- worst hr player is more of a finger/aim control god than a reading god imo, but yeah he's a reader

- maliszewski's tapping control and HD reading is really goated

- i agree with mrekk but players like lifeline, gnahus, Plasma, epic gaming, etc... are also great too!

- 100% agree for aimbotcone as a rookie!! he went from being a 2 digit deranker to a speed god!!

Highlights.. Now we go back to 500pp 1st to 2nd place gap but akkolibeds and forums plays were hype

I agree with worst hr player, maliszewski and rektygon but why enri ? atleast put Vaxei in there ? xD (second place beating enri in mgc and osu world champion carrying with rektygon)

enri has been popping off this year up to rank 15 with speed and aiming, tourneys as well

also ik Vaxei is helping the US team to win though not as good as before (rip Vaxei win streak)

damm I should've also put Kama here for amazing finger control dt scores
