MP3 sounds different in game

So I've been working on a map: beatmapsets/2104335
and I'm not sure if it's just me but the MP3 sounds very different in game than outside game (I confirmed by downloading my own beatmap and playing the audio.mp3 found from the osu Songs folder)

Appreciate it if someone could tell me what's going on here :)

I don't notice any difference, but to be fair I'm using my laptop speakers :?
osu slightly boosts volume of songs if i remember correctly, something I noticed a while ago, but never had a bad experience with it.

For me, I'm noticing that the song is much softer in Osu than outside. If this problem isn't happening to others than that's all good

i believe that osu! compresses the song in a way that increases in-game performance but decreases audio quality a tiny bit. not 100% but I think its a known feature

audio quality in osu is definitely worse in general to me
