So, I kinda screwed up on Insane map (Evanescence - My Immortal) and lost about 80 points. Is this normal?

You can't lose PP from getting bad performances.
You can only lose pp by beating a good performance with a worse one (e.g. beating a good accuracy DT score with a bad accuracy HDFL score)
Any other pp losses are caused by changes to the algorithm and/or recalculations.

You rank is also determined by your acc, so if you beat enough scores, but all with lower acc - It could hurt you more than what good it would do.
