I plan on getting a mechanical keyboard in the furture, where I can play osu (and gaming in general) comfortably. However, I found one that may be good called the Glorious GMMK 2 with their "Fox" switches

I dunno if I want to buy that particular keyboard, but the ratings and the keyboard itself looks pretty much promising

but anyway, can u guys recommend me any keyboards
and please, no numpads because I rarely use it lol

no wooting aswell >:( forget what i said, cuz i bought a rapid trigger keypad -_-

how much can you spend?
and are you interested in linear (no bump)
or tactile (bump) kb
the bumpy feeling can be compared to the feeling of passing the actuation point of a key on keyboard with membrane but much better

the kb looks good, lubed aswell
1000hz refresh, light switches
i think you can go for it but wait for some more answers

Edit: im using hyperx alloy orgins red, it has a good build, good switches and specs, uses USB-C connection
But doesnt sound as good as glorious probably
That's the only kB i know i can reccomend rn

Ooh I never have noticed those two called linear and tactile. What are the differences between these two. Btw, im okay with the price as long it isn’t that expensive lol

Imagine eating gummies and chips when you are eating gummies (linear, there is no crunch after biting(clicking))
And chips have a point when it crunches (you can feel when the switch activates)

Rn i can only reccomend hyperx alloy orgins with linear Red switches as i didnt use mamy keyboards (i only used one with blue switches and yellow switches that i sometimes use to train stamina (they are heavier to click than red's)
If i Rembertów it correctly alloy orgins was (or is)
A pretty popular osu keyboard

My opinion is subjective as i dont like tactile switches so.i.hope some people can share their reccomendations

Tecware phantom+ is pretty good, I bought it for about $40 and would say it's very worth it.

hmmm I can now imagine that linear switches behave like a membrane kb cuz a gummy bear is quite soft to chew.
but yeah, I've seen many osu players owning an hyperx alloy origins lol but yeah, imma think about buying that.

ooh a very budget price for that kind of keyboard. imma think of buying that though ^^

another comparison: imagine pressing a sponge and chips
sponge has no crunch (the key feels the same no matter how far you press) and chips have a point where you know they are pressed (you FEEL the actuation point)

tactile switches have a bump and you feel the keypress while linear switches have no bump
and the clicky switches... well they are loud AND have a bump

actually membrane is more like tactile switches
try clicking the switch slowly and you will notice the point of a key where you can feel it
Naiad
Why no wooting? I'm sorry to say but rapid trigger represents an undeniable competitive advantage for osu! If you want maximum performance, I'd buy a rapid trigger keyboard, even if it isn't the wooting. Perhaps look into things like sayodevice, drunkdeer.

Hmm i see. Then i was quite wrong with the whole membrane thingy in the first place lol. So imma focus on buying a linear one Thanks for the little lesson u did ^^

Well.. I actually would buy a wooting ngl but after watching the BTMC video where he tried the wooting, im not even sure if i really want one lol. Btw i do have a sayodevice but it always slips out all the time and it gets annoying from time to time. That’s why I actually decided to buy a full mechanical kb

I've heard that wooting is good for speed and finger control in general because it completely removes fingerlock. If you have a tapping style where you fully press the keys and you are comfortable with that, then the wooting is not necessary for you

(I've never had a wooting so I can't really confirm)

people out there giving reasonable advice while im comparing switches to gummies, chips and a damn sponge xd

Whitecat switched to wooting, although it's possible that he switched back and I'm not aware?

caffeine pills are a lot more effective

Edit:

UwU vs O3C

which is better for portability, more silent, and has a good rubber grip underneath.

Both are equally good

welll the o3c is quite good as we can edit ur calibration and rapid trigger and such. the problem is the grip. at first it is great but it kinda wears off as i use more. so far, i haven't tried the uwu yet so i cant really compare them by saying which is better.

however, koifishu compared them on his recent video lol

Spoiler Alert
basically, the uwu is better than the o3c, it's more comfy, a bit silent and just basically plug and play while the o3c has too much instructions just to use the keypad and replicate the rapid trigger feeling. but yeah this doesnt mean the o3c is bad. if you want a budget keypad, then the o3c is for you. but if u want the best performance, the uwu is good. but yeah, watch the whole video for detailed stuff
