Do all kids see monsters...?

When I was around 6, I thought that ghosts were real. I've seen so many videos about this event saying that ghosts were going to haunt us on Halloween because it's the only day of the year they can manifest themselves. I was convinced that we could interact with them only at night, and I had the feeling that I had seen some in my room and outside when it's dark during October 31st

Over time, I abandoned these thoughts because I had other things to do than constantly think about those imaginary ghosts, but recently I got back in touch with my cousins and one of them (the smallest one who's 5) told me that there are monsters in their house, but they're hiding during the day. Of course the older ones told him that they don't exist, but it makes me think that all children see anomalies that don't exist and I don't exactly know why...

There are plenty of other examples of children seeing strange things. Is it normal for them to think like that?

I mean yeah, it makes sense. Kids aren't used to actually thinking through so if they hear or see something that's not right, they automatically think it's scary.

I think when we are younger we just have a great imagination. I remember believing in ghost and being genuinely terrified because i thought i would see them. I was with my cousin the other day which is 5, he was talking about seeing stuff as like it was completely normal. So yeah i believe we just have a far better imagination as a kid.
