I have played Osu! for quite a while but I never went on the forums much. Welp time to start anew~ My names Matt and I started playing around 7 months ago. I still remember struggling to play 3 stars but practice slowly made me better though I'm still not where I want to be in skill yet 
The game was challenging and that's what hooked me in. I feel a sense of accomplishment when i even manage to do a song and get a C on 5 stars. I'm not that great yet but I guess someday I'll get even better.
