Started school in August 31th and we had 24 hours of math so far, which means 2 hours the 1st September, 10 hours per week and 2 hours yesterday. The first 10 hours were just reminders of previous years' lessons so it was very easy to follow the rhythm, but then it got worse with courses that are supposed to have been seen last year... but that we didn't see because we only learned functions and triangles in a circle?

For more context, I took Human Sciences in 10th grade and we had 4 hours of math per week + there was a one-month period when we didn't have a math teacher, so we didn't learn a lot... In fact, all we did was reviewing lessons that we learned in 9th grade lol. I wanted to choose Math Science because I love math, but my friend told me "NO!! You're going to die there I promise!"

Now I'm in Math Science and I basically have to learn everything that had to be seen last year + everything about this year's new lessons... I'm going to die actually 🫠

(I don't know if I should stay here seriously...)

WE WORK
TO EARN THE RIGHT TO WORK
TO EARN THE RIGHT TO WORK
TO EARN THE RIGHT TO WORK
TO EARN THE RIGHT TO WORK
TO EARN THE RIGHT GIVE
OURSELVES THE RIGHT BUY
OURSELVES THE RIGHT LIVE
TO EARN THE RIGHT TO DIE

We're about to start the derivative of a function

going to put my personal experience of uni and highschool here. I wish I did more maths and sciences in highschool to prepare me for the concepts of uni mathematics and higher education.

If you plan on doing any field that involves math, please continue on your path. It'll be so beneficial if you can apply it and really understand the material.

In Math Science, they're preparing us 2 hours per week for the concepts that we're going to see in university if we keep going. The good thing about it, is the fact that there will be no tests about the things that we're learning in those 2 hours. It's like a small plus if you took Math Science or Basic Science as your option!

Not going to lie, I don't think that I will stay in Math Science because 10 hours is way too much for me lol. I will just take Basic Science so that I can have 6 hours of math (4h of normal math and 2h of uni math) and 4 hours of "doing experiment things"

yeah it can be, but the fact is that the teacher just repeat things from last year at this moment, so there isn’t so much new information
i dunno:(

maybe you’re right, the most things that ruined covid is communication with others

Well ngl, I kind of feel like communication with others has really improved since this year. Students now talk to each other like before the pandemic started so we're on the right track!

Forced lessons at home was really destructive because 90% of the students stayed at home 24/7. When schools realized this, they decided to alternate the days you go to school with the days you take online classes. It was already better than taking online classes everyday...

Agreed but also depends on the math you do in highschool
I had a lot of math in HS (10h/week iirc) but none of it was useful for uni, so I had learn the useful stuff myself (I had a good math prof in uni thankfully)

Same, uni is heaven in comparison

I mean, it's education so whatchu expect?

Trade away all your forums time into study👍

But srsly, just go after your dream job, learn about the requirements for it and adapt accordingly (my opinion)

Okay I'm DONE. I will go back to Human Sciences because I actually see way too many numbers with math (10h) chemistry (2h) and physics (2h) aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
