Weird rank decrease

Sometimes i have moment like that:

My rank is 60 500
I finish map as ~#500
My rank after that is 60300
I play map again to get better score
I finish map as ~200
My rank decrease to 60400

Why my rank decreased against increase?

Get #500 .. rank increase about 1000
Get #350 on the same map.. rank increase about 20..

pp doesn't increase in proportion to your score. You can have a higher score with a lower pp value and a higher pp value with a lower score. You probably had better performance (pp calculation wise) in your first play (which was the lower score) than your second. And Osu! only takes the pp value of your highest score for each beat map, resulting in you gaining less pp than you did in your second play.

Certain songs are ranked higher or lower in terms of difficulty. The high difficulty, the more PP (generally). Scores and PP are not static (I think that's the right word). What rank you get depends on a lot of variables. You don't get a flat amount of PP for earning a rank - 500 on one song can give you more PP than 500 on a different song.

But how my rank can decrease, when i get 5x better score than old one?
